A little story about us
Deep within a magical forest, where the trees whispered friendly secrets to one another and the paths sparkled like sugar in the morning sun, lived two children named Alma and Felix.
This forest was nothing like other forests. The air was filled with the scent of cinnamon and vanilla, of warm ovens and freshly baked bread. The birds didn’t just sing — they sang melodies that sounded like little bells made of icing, and when the wind swept through the trees, it almost sounded like laughter.
One day, Alma and Felix walked hand in hand along a winding path covered with golden leaves. Suddenly, they both stopped.
In front of them stood something truly special.
Right there between the tall fir trees stood a gingerbread house. Its walls were baked from crisp, golden-brown gingerbread. The roof shimmered with glossy caramel, and from the chimney rose soft little clouds of powdered sugar — like snow that smelled sweet.
“Do you think it’s real?” Alma whispered.
Felix nodded with wide eyes. “It feels magical.”
When they gently opened the door, it creaked — not grumpily, but like a small laugh. Inside, a true adventure awaited.
The ceiling was decorated with candy canes that twisted like rainbows. The walls were lined with shelves made of chocolate, and the floor was so soft it felt like cake dough beneath their feet. Everywhere there were trays filled with delicious pastries: crispy croissants, warm cinnamon rolls, sweet raspberry slices, and small tea buns steaming with butter and joy.
In the middle of the room stood a long table filled with colorful sweets — gummy candies, caramels, chocolate buttons, and hard candies that sparkled like gemstones.
Every time Alma took a small piece of candy, the colors of the room gently changed — from pink to golden, from blue to warm orange. And every time Felix took a bite of a pastry, the house began to play a soft, joyful melody, as if it were singing just for them.
Suddenly, someone appeared.
It was a small, kind baking fairy, made of flour dust and light. She floated calmly in the air and smiled warmly at the children.
“This house,” she said softly, “only reveals itself to those who share, care for one another, and find joy together.”
Alma and Felix looked at each other — and smiled. They shared the cakes, laughed out loud, and placed some of the candy neatly back on the table, so others could enjoy it too.
As they said goodbye and stepped outside again, the door quietly closed behind them. The gingerbread house shimmered one last time — and became part of the forest once more.
And since that day, people have said that if you walk very quietly through the magical forest, and truly believe in fairytales, you might smell freshly baked pastries…
…and perhaps, just perhaps, find the gingerbread house again.
